Medal of Honor Rag

Playwright: Tom Cole

Directed by: David Wassilak

January 30 - February 15, 2009

Starring: Bryan Keith*, Tyler Vickers and Keith Borzillo

After receiving the Medal of Honor, Sergeant Dale Jackson returned home from the war, but found everyday life too difficult. Tom Cole’s 1975 one-act play about a black Vietnam vet and his white psychiatrist is still eerily relevant. Jackson shares the same fears and anguish as today’s soldier returning home from Iraq, proving that the affect of war on America’s veterans hasn’t changed, no matter what the year, or where the fighting takes place.

It would be hard to think of a young theater company in town more deserving of praise and honor, made up of actual artists who have a serious knowledge and intent, who have made for themselves a lovely new venue where cobwebs and clutter had been before. They pick very good plays, and very good actors, and seem to get very good audiences as a result.
